One of my favorite quotes that inspires me every day is from Mark Twain: “You’re never wrong to do the right thing.” It’s the core of TCI’s philosophy and I always strive to always do the right thing no matter what. My clients’ best interest is at the core of everything I do.

I’m a self-proclaimed “data nerd” and have a relentless pursuit to find the best possible outcome for my clients using a holistic, research-driven approach to planning. But for me, being a wealth advisor is as much about client relationships as it is about the results.

I’ve always been curious, self-motivated and committed to discovery. That passion, combined with my “professor-like” approach with financial planning, allows me to truly engage and help educate my clients. I always strive to do the right thing for my clients no matter what, and that “aha moment” when a client starts to see it all come together and the strategy works – that is extremely rewarding and truly the best part of the job.

My education and experience is diverse, and I am driven by research, analysis, planning and problem-solving. That love, combined with my passion for people, is what I dedicate to every client, whether you’re a seasoned investor with high net worth or just starting your financial plan and are new to investing. My clients’ best interest is at the core of everything I do.

While I truly believe that every penny matters, each person matters more. I do enjoy the technical challenge in solving complex financial and estate planning issues and creating retirement plan solutions, but truthfully, I enjoy the client relationships even more! That “lightbulb click” – and the smile on a client’s face when it all starts to make sense – is why I love being a financial planner and what makes TCI such an incredible company.

TCI truly puts clients at the forefront of everything they do and shares my passion for fostering the educational aspects of financial planning with their clients, and their advisors. Every day there’s something new to figure out, and I get to utilize my love of data, analytics, research and problem-solving to help influence our portfolios as well.

Whether it’s in professional life as a wealth advisor or in my personal life as a competitive cyclist, avid skier and nature-lover, or adventurous traveler and foodie, I simply love learning, trying new things and meeting new people. Living in Reno, Nevada with my beautiful wife and our dog Turner gives us access to activities and adventure, cuisine and culture, and nature and nightlife few cities can offer. This outdoor paradise is truly a “small, big town” where there’s always something happening in every season. Where else can you ski, cycle, hike, golf, climb, enjoy watersports and more – sometimes, all in the same weekend?

Growing up I was taught that if you “honor the process” and do what needs to be done, your hard work will always pay off. I’ve carried that with me as a competitive cyclist and in my career as a wealth advisor. Doing right by my clients, and doing the research needed to make them successful, is what I do best.

This holistic, data-driven approach to the optimum financial strategy is what makes me special, and what makes my clients so happy. I’m excited to share my passion for problem-solving and help you analyze then actualize your own financial goals.

Fun Facts:

  1. I’m an adventurous eater, so the stranger the food – the better. But I could eat Mediterranean food every day of my life and be fine!
  2. I used to race motocross when I was younger and have since transitioned that love to road cycling. I’ve now been racing bikes at an elite level for over a decade and have competed in over 400 Category 1 races.
  3. My wife and I met in culinary school where we are both classically trained.

freetime

What do you like to do in your free time?

My wife and I love to travel and experience new cultures, cuisines and cities, having visited more than 35 countries so far, and try to “collect” passport stamps for every place we visit. Traveling to Rome for the first time with my beautiful wife was incredible! I’ll never forget the feeling when we first emerged from the subway underground next to the Coliseum. Wow! Seeing the awe-inspiring sites surrounding you on all sides and so much history, culture, beauty and more – it was almost otherworldly. We can’t wait to see the rest of the world.
