Our Process
At TCI, the core of our client relationships is to ensure that one’s entire financial picture is considered when designing and implementing an investment plan. As a result, our financial planning process at TCI Wealth goes beyond investment consulting. It also covers advanced planning issues such as estate planning, tax management, and wealth transfer and preservation. In addition, we strive to deliver this expertise while maintaining a superior level of client service.
Start your process
Contact our staff to begin the process of your customized financial plan.
DISCOVERY MEETING
The first step is the Discovery Meeting, and here the goal is to figure out what makes you tick financially. During this conversation, you’ll cover seven key areas: values, goals, relationships, assets, other advisors, contact preferences, and interests. By doing so, your advisor can understand what matters most to you.
FINANCIAL STRATEGY MEETING
Two weeks later, you will meet with your advisor again to discuss your Financial Strategy. Before moving forward, you’ll explore three crucial areas: how much risk you feel comfortable taking, what your time horizon looks like, and what rate of return you require. This ensures that your investment plan aligns with your long-term objectives.
MUTUAL COMMITMENT MEETING
Once your strategy is clear, the next step is to make a commitment. At this stage, we formalize the relationship and implement the new investment plan. From that point on, your advisor becomes your partner in building and maintaining financial confidence.
45-DAY FOLLOW-UP MEETING
After your plan is in motion, we meet again for a 45-day check-up. In this meeting, we organize all of your account paperwork, confirm that you feel comfortable with the relationship, and address any outstanding issues. Therefore, you can move forward knowing that everything is in order.
REGULAR PROGRESS MEETING
Finally, to help ensure we stay on track, we review your progress on a regular schedule. Because life happens, these meetings give us the opportunity to make adjustments to your plan. Ultimately, this step ensures your strategy continues to reflect your evolving goals and priorities.
Please Note: The scope of any financial planning and consulting services depends upon the specific requests and needs of the client. TCI does not serve as an attorney, accountant, or insurance agent. TCI does not prepare legal documents or tax returns, nor does it sell insurance products.
