From the beginning, I wanted to bring the integrity of the CPA world into the financial planning world. When we say clients come first, we mean it. Every aspect of our firm makes this promise a priority. From client communications to one-on-one contact, we promote and support only options in the best interest of the client.
As both a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Personal Financial Specialist (PFS), I like to say my purpose is “saving people from the Dark Side.” Through respect, honor, dignity and time-tested data, I help inform my clients and friends that investment success goes beyond the portfolio and annual returns. A successful investment journey also involves aligning one’s lifestyle goals with their strategic wealth plans in order to achieve their dreams and aspirations.
With more than 30 years of experience, I support a diverse range of clients, including business owners, executives and retirees. After more than a decade in public accounting, I transitioned to the wealth advisor industry at the insistence of my clients. They believed in me and my approach, and eventually they entrusted me with their financial futures. From the beginning, I wanted to bring the integrity of the CPA world into the financial planning world. Maintaining this promise is what motivates me every day.
My family, especially my wife, Brenda, also motivates me. Together, we’ve had many adventures all across the West Coast. From Lake Tahoe to Santa Fe and now our current home in Tucson. We’ve been fortunate to find and help foster a sense of community wherever we’ve gone.
I’m a published author. In 2011, I wrote Art, Artists & Money with the goal of helping creative professionals better understand their financial options as artists. In 2018, I co-authored the book, Beyond the Game: An MBA for Professional Athletes, which empowers athletes and their families to more clearly understand the relationship between their athletic careers and financial futures.
My granddaughters are my greatest joy these days and Brenda and I enjoy spending as much time with them and our children as possible. I’m passionate about fly fishing. I’m also a big fan of craft beer, single-malt whiskeys, and cigars. I exercise regularly to keep my vices under control. I also stay “civilized” as Brenda takes me to art galleries, shows and openings.
I am passionate about doing the right thing and looking out for the best interests of others. I’m proud to say as an Advisor, Shareholder and Founder, as TCI continues to expand and grow, we are still rooted in the same values when the firm was founded more than 30 years ago–our clients and our team come first.
