FAQ

  • When do I need to arrive?

All employees will need to arrive at the Resort and be checked in no later than 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 13. The Scottsdale and Tucson offices will be closing at 1:00 p.m. (market closure) on Wednesday to allow ample time for travel. Hotel rooms will not be available until 4:00 p.m. so we are anticipating most people arriving between 5:00-6:00 p.m.  The Summit will conclude Friday, July 15th at noon. To-go lunch boxes will be provided.

  • What should I pack?

Attire for the retreat is business casual, i.e. what you typically wear to the office. Definitely no need for any ties or suits. Although it is toasty in Arizona, the hotel meeting rooms are generally chilly. We suggest you bring a light sweater or jacket.

  • What about my work?

All TCI offices will be closed for the two-and-a-half-day retreat and clients will be notified of the closure. Please enjoy the break from our day-to-day work and be fully present at the Summit! If you must check your email or be on your phone, please only do so during the breaks. As a reminder, you cannot use the hotel Wi-Fi connections to access TCI applications.

  • Can my significant other come with me?

All the events and gatherings are limited to TCI employees to foster and focus on the connection between TCI colleagues.

  • If I’m flying to Phoenix, how will I get to the resort from the airport?

You are responsible for scheduling your own air and ground transportation. Please use Uber/Lyft/Taxi from the airport to The Scott. Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) is 10 miles from the resort. There is no need to rent a car. Everything for the Summit will be at the Scott.

  • What about if I am driving to Phoenix?

Employees will be reimbursed for round trip mileage to and from your local office and the Resort. Once at The Scott, parking fees are included in the resort fee, courtesy of TCI. There will be no need for transportation during the Summit so we encourage employees to carpool.

  • What about COVID safety?

We will be operating under the CDC, WHO, federal, state, local and hotel guidelines at the time the event takes place. Currently, there are no mandates in place as it pertains to mask wearing or social distancing. Individuals are responsible for their own safety and actions while attending the Summit and recognize that someone could be at risk of contracting any illness when in a public space.

  • What if my room is not ready when the Summit begins?

If your room is not available when you arrive and check-in, the resort will hold your bag until your room is ready.

  • Will I need to pay for anything?

The only thing you are responsible for are additional room charges and anything outside of the scheduled activities/meals. Everyone will need to put a credit card down at the time of check-in for incidentals or damages.

  • What if I have more questions?

Contact Danielle danielle.larcom@tciwealth.com with additional questions.

Gallup research shows that 76% of workers are feeling ‘burnt-out’ and employees want their work to have deep sense of ‘mission and purpose’. At TCI we exist to ‘Empower purpose-filled lives’ and that begins with our ourselves. Just like the importance of each of us knowing our Strengths and fostering a culture of Engagement, Gallup has found that our personal Wellbeing is critical to performance both at work and at home. Hear some of Gallup’s latest insights, from their newest book, Wellbeing at Work, based on over 100 million interviews around what truly makes people happy and healthy. As you discover and reflect on what Gallup calls ‘The Five Elements of Wellbeing’ you will also walk away with a few action ideas for how we each can define our purpose and live our best lives.

Bob Swift Portrait

Bob Swift

TCI Wealth Advisors

Bob Swift founded TCI Wealth Advisors 31 years ago to provide unbiased financial guidance, based solely on the needs and expectations of each client. After several years in the industry as a Stockbroker, he set out to teach anyone that would listen about the fine print-ridden financial industry. He believed clients deserved the right to know and fully understand the acronyms and fees. Bob’s educational information and meaningful message compelled the students in his classes to ask him to manage their assets for them. And thus The Conservative Investor was founded in the Swift’s garage and now flourishes under TCI Wealth Advisors.
