The School for Advanced Research Board of Directors welcomes two new members
The School for Advanced Research Board of Directors has welcomed two new members. Douglas L. Nelson of TCI Wealth Advisors and Julie S. Rivers of Gerber & Bateman, PA were elected during the Board’s biannual meeting on February 27, 2016.
Doug is a CPA and investment advisor based in Santa Fe with an office in Incline Village/Reno and clients in many cities around the United States. Since 2007 he has been a shareowner in TCI Wealth Advisors, having merged his Incline Village firm of AQN Advisors into TCI, which also has offices in Tucson, Scottsdale, Flagstaff, Denver and Santa Monica. He regularly received national recognition as a top wealth advisor. His specialties include integrating clients’ lifestyle goals with their family wealth p
lans and multigenerational wealth planning. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Personal Financial Planning Division, the New Mexico Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Santa Fe Estate Planning Council and the Rotary Club of Santa Fe. Doug is treasurer of New Mexico Lawyers for the Arts, former treasurer of the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival and former Board member of the American Red Cross-Northern Nevada chapter. In 2011, he published his book, Art, Artists and Money.
